You should have the pamphlet that came with the pill pack, look for instructions on what to do with a missed dose.

If you MISS 1 active pill:

* Take it as soon as you remember. Take the next pill at your regular time. This means you may take two pills in one day.
* You do not need to use a backup birth control method if you have sex. If you MISS 2 active pills in a row in WEEK 1 OR WEEK 2 of your pack:
o Take two pills on the day you remember and two pills the next day.
o Then take one pill a day until you finish the pack.
o You MAY BECOME PREGNANT if you have sex in the seven days after you miss pills. You MUST use another birth control method (such as condoms or spermicides) as a backup for those seven days.

If you MISS 2 active pills in a row in the 3rd WEEK:

* If you are a Day 1 Starter: THROW OUT the rest of the pill pack and start a new pack that same day.
* If you are a Sunday Starter: Keep taking one pill every day until Sunday. On Sunday, THROW OUT the rest of the pack and start a new pack of pills that same day.
* You may not have your period this month, but this is expected. However, if you miss your period two months in a row, call your doctor or clinic because you might be pregnant.
* You MAY BECOME PREGNANT if you have sex in the seven days after you miss pills. You MUST use another birth control method (such as condoms or spermicides) as a backup for those seven days.

If you MISS 3 OR MORE active pills in a row (during the first 3 weeks):

* If you are a Day 1 Starter: THROW OUT the rest of the pill pack and start a new pack that same day.
* If you are a Sunday Starter: Keep taking 1 pill every day until Sunday.

If you forget any of the 4 reminder pills in Week 4:

* THROW AWAY the pills you missed.
* Keep taking one pill each day until the pack is empty.
* You do not need a backup method.

FINALLY, IF YOU ARE STILL NOT SURE WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE PILLS YOU HAVE MISSED:

* Use a BACKUP METHOD (such as condoms or spermicides) any time you have sex. KEEP TAKING ONE ACTIVE PILL EACH DAY until you can reach your doctor or clinic.

PLEASE read the information brochure that comes with EVERY pack of pills.

Your chances increase depending on the week in which you missed. If it's week one, then your chances are less than weeks 2 and 3, and week 4 is again less likely. Overall, I would say you probably have a 1 in 5 chance of pregnancy (or similar to a condom or diaphragm).

If you read your brochure it tells you that you need to use back up birth control for ONE full week when missing 2 or more pills in weeks in weeks 1 or 2. If you miss them in weeks 3 or 4, then you take one pill every day till Sunday (if you are a Sunday starter) then start a new pack without your 4 placebos. If you're a day-1 starter then you start a brand new pack the same day and discard the rest of the old pack. Either way, you would USE BACKUP for one full week.

Your answers can be found on page 52 of the little booklet...if you had only read it.

Actually I just read (in Cosmo!) that missing pills in your first week is more dangerous than at other times, because you've been on the non-hormone pills just before that when you had your period, so you have less of the hormones circulating in your body, since the period pills contain no protection. You have up to an 11% chance of pregnancy for missing two pills in a row! You should definitely use backup protection until the end of this cycle. Good luck!

Ur assume 2 take the two while u observe i've got neglected the days and while u get waiting 2 take ur third one, purely take it on time like u could if u hadn't neglected those 2 days. yet yeah, u nonetheless can get pregnant....and the trick approximately start administration pills, u have 2 take them ordinary @ an identical time 2 no longer get pregnant. as an occasion, if u take a pill @ 3pm on Monday, u have 2 take it ordinary @ 3pm, u cant take it @ 3pm Monday and then 5pm on Tuesday and then Wednesday u take it @ 2:45pm...u c what im asserting. My wellness care expert advised me that, and now that i think of roughly it....it makes appropriate experience!

missing 2 pills in a row greatly increases your risk for preg esp if in the 1st week. what you need to do is use back up until your period (for the whole pack in other words) to make sure you dont get preg.

if your having unprotected sex, the chances are very high of getting preggy. did you miss two pills in a row?
if so, i would go to a clinic and get the ECP(emergency contraceptive pill). either way, i would still go to a clinic. (and because you just switched b.c. pills :[ )
