Republicans like to keep it simple. They just want to belive that "they hate us for our freedom" and they refuse to open their little minds and think "maybe, they're are OTHER reasons why they hate us (careful, i wouldn't want any of you to shortcircuit). Maybe, just maybe, Ron Paul has a point when he points out, how would we feel if China occupied the Gulf of Mexico or if Saudi Arabia set up military bases in North Dakota? And you don't think staying out of Middle eastern affairs makes sense? you don't think we influence middle eastern for our best interest (i'm not talking about our FINANCIAL best interest, not for the "safety of our country") hmmm, we help the Saudi Royal family to stay in power for security purposes.... right. It has nothing to do with oil.
that's right guys! Elect Rudy, he'll tell you exactly what you want to hear!

bugeyes, explain how doing what is necessary to keep America safe from terrorists makes you a "wuss". Because, believe it or not, having troops in the "land of mohammad" makes 9/11 type attacks more likely.

Lol he is too advanced for both parties. A politician that tells the truth. How shocking and scandalous, here in America we send to like our politicians to placate us with nice lies and pretty smiles. What gets me is when they say hes not a real conservative, when he is more conservative then any of them running.

He makes good points and I might vote for him in the unlikely event he wins the GOP or seeks the Unity08 nomination, but I don't think that makes him or me "too advanced" for those who disagree.
In fact, one could ask "if he's too advanced for the GOP, shouldn't he realize that and look somewhere else for support?" I'm glad he is not the one suggesting he is too advanced. A president should not look down on his fellow citizens, even those he doesn't agree with. If I thought he felt that way I would be more likely to vote for Joe Schriner even though Schriner has no experience I am aware of.

Advanced? No, I don't think that is the problem with Ron Paul.
By the way, I don't care for what Rudy is saying either. As a Republican, I am hoping that the man who will be our candidate in '08 is not yet in the race.
For now, do not assume that the top three speak for the party.

Has Ron Paul voted with the Democrats on the Iraq war? If he has than perhaps he does have insight many of his Republican friends don't. If he has voted with the Republicans than one can be suspicious about him and wonder if he isn't just pandering the way the political wind is blowing.
He is a non-person in this election, anyway. He won't win his party's nomination let alone the presidency.

No, he is not too advanced. I am a member of Mensa and understand him and the others quite well, thank you. I even know how to spell the correct form of "too" in your question.
I also have long since recognized the pattern to the "Ron Paulistas" constant barrage of questions about him. One of you asks the question, and the others chime in quickly to make positive statements about it and then giving thumbs up to each other and thumbs down to those who disagree.

No, he is too true to American Conservative Values and the Constitution.
So the NeoCons are going to try and blast him out of the race then beg for his votes in congress.

I doubt Ron Paul will gain the needed Republican constituency with his followers running around bashing Republicans.
ADDED: And I might not be too advanced, but I know how to spell too.
