First, believe on yourself. Plan how you can achieve your goal. Prepare & do your best. You can do it! Have faith in yourself & pray always.

Well i started when I was 5 years old so I wasn't really worried about that but now I do. Swimming is one of those sports that once you practice more...you get A LOT better. So you might come in dead last now, but next season if you work really hard, you might just be really good.

Same here. I was very shy in junior high. My coach said I could swim well enough to be competitive but I was always unsure. Finally I started timing myself and looking online and comparing my times to other people my age. Plus I started working on the records posted at school.

Good luck and

Just keep swimming. lol

Your coach thinks that you are good, so trust him or her. Your coach believes in you. If you come in last that is fine, there will always be someone better than you. Swimming is a very individual sport, as long as you improve your times you will be achieving your goals.

Even Brooke Bennett came in last a few times... It's not about how well you place, it's about bettering your times. If you don't want to come in last you better work hard and make good times! Train, train train!

Stop being afraid of placing last. Alot of people don't even have the guts to get in the water in the first place. If you DO come in last, be a good sport and try harder next time.

Good luck!

With swimming, it's not all about whether you're first or last. One of the most important things is to race the clock. Your time and getting better is really important. Work with your coach and listen to what he or she has to say. If you do that, you'll continue to improve and shouldn't be last! :)

Be a sport. First or last you had competed. you come last it makes you try to achieve and come first some day. Wish you best of luck.

Practice makes perfect... I was in a swim team... we were horrible but I just had love for the sport it was something I enjoy doing and I just kept progressing thru the years and achieved alot I would think... just practice last isn't so bad especially if you just started swimming...

If you think "I'll come dead last", you are right.
If you think "I am coming FIRST!!! No one can beat me!", you are still right!
You see, the sub-conscious brain does not know whether it is true or not. Whatever you feed your mind constantly, WILL come true.
so, if you want to come first, what should do?
POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS!!!!!!
KEEP SAYING,morning ,noon, night, eating, sleeping, walking, and swimming:
"Day by day,
In EVERY way,
I am getting better, AND better, and BETTER!!!"
You will be a topper!! That is a personal guarantee!
It works!!!

Swim in a natural waterbody before diving into a swimming pool. Try swimming in the Goa beaches and then practise in waterworld pools

you wont come in last. even if you do, its still worth it. competing is part of getting better. accepting loss makes you an even stronger swimmer.
