I bought a home a few months ago and I've recently discovered a bunch of old concrete footers for an old fence and/or clothes line pole (s). There are about 8 of them and I did notice one had a hole the shape of a 4X4 - that is why I think it is from a fence. The previous owner just piled them up and let ivy grow over them to hide it. How can I get rid of this stuff without digging a big hole in the backyard or illegally dumping it in a shopping center dumpster or in the woods? Who can I call about removing it?

I use old concrete pieces in my yard as urban yard scupltures. I have a big broken piece of a sidewalk on it's side and it looks sweet among my flowers. Or if it's ugly stuff I hide it under pieces of decorative rock to build up my rock piles. Or if they are stackable, make a plant stand. Or break them up and use them inside a plastic birdfeeder to weigh it down. (Sometimes I just throw it in my garbage too, I've never had a problem with my garbage men. )

you can either break things up and put it with your regular trash or rent a pickup truck and haul it to the dump for a few bucks. i too had tons of junk (old bikes, concrete, etc) in my back yard when i moved in. i think it only cost about $20-$40 to take it to the dump.

You may be able to have your garbage men take them, put out one a week, or be there when the garbage truck arrives and load them yourself. A few dollars in tips may do wonders on getting rid of your problem. good luck.

If it is small pieces take some with you every time you go some where see a dumpster throw it in see a large garbage can throw it in. go by a constuction site they always need that stuff for construction roads.
