What are Christian ideals?
Those of Christ or those of any church?
It is ALWAYS those of Christ and that means forever. No Church sets ideals ONLY THE SACRED SCRIPTURES.
Christ NEVER commanded his people to improve government of men.Daniel 2:44 shows God will destroy of the governments of men soon. To support them is to support Satan. In fact when they came to make Jesus king he went away from them. Render to Caesar what is Caesars was refering to taxes nothing else. All Christians have a responsibilty to be good citizens and contribute to society(road upkeep, park maintenance, etc.).
That is not corrupt.
All Churchs are corrupt. None has the right to establish government in a crooked and imperfect world. This is Satans world and has nothing to do with Christ. If it was not how could Satan have offered all the kingdoms of the world to Jesus when he tempted him after 40 days in the desert without sustenance?

No.

The Church is primarily a spiritual body. But she is also a moral teacher.

When you look at the 1.1 billion believers worshiping in over 200,000 parishes worldwide you can see that the Catholic Church is a spiritual entity.

However the Church is also a moral teacher and has been teaching the world what it believes God thinks is right and wrong for almost 2,000 years.

The Church looks to protect human dignity and human rights and does not for look for political power. Church leaders are barred from political office by Church law (not civil law).

Jesus said, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20)

The Catholic Church has been teaching world governments what it believes is right and wrong since the ancient Romans stopped persecuting it and long before anyone heard of the freedom of speech.

The Catholic Church protested about the blood sports in the Roman Colosseum and they were stopped.

The Catholic Church supported the Polish Solidarity movement and the Soviet Union fell apart.

I don't think the Church is going to (or should) stop teaching the world governments what is right or wrong now.

Remember the Catholic Church proposes. It does not impose.

With love in Christ.

They've been a political machine since the Roman Empire of the early ages when Constantine decided that it would create the much needed power he sought after if he were to invent a new "Universal Church". A church where paganism and Christianity would come togther in a syncrenistic type of religion that would encompass the whole region of the Roman territory. Satan is the spirit being who will powerfully influence, and perhaps even finally possess, a soon-to-come, charismatic, political dictator who will seduce a mighty world superpower arising in a revived, militant united Europe—the end-time "Babylon"! Satan will be the "god" who animates and empowers the false religious system that will undergird this world-dominating, economic and military power! Do not just believe me or take my word for it. Look at the Bible for yourself!
This is the soon-coming church-state system in Europe, which will eventually turn on the American and British-descended peoples and bring about the Great Tribulation! It will be a revival of ancient Babylon, with its priestly castes, pagan rituals and doctrines and complete disregard for God's commands. It will be a clever counterfeit of true Christianity. To millions, though, it will seem like the real thing! Yet God's word describes the temporary wealth and power of this system: "For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth" (Revelation 18:23-24). And how will it end? "Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, 'Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore'" (v. 21).

Yes. The Catholic Church is the most politically active, the single wealthiest and most immoral (evil) organization on planet earth today.

Catholic apologsts, pr agents and spin doctors claim the "church" is primarily a spiritual body and also a moral teacher.

But when you just look at the millions of children that have been sexually abused by tens of thousands of clergy, when you see an organization that even today refuses to apologize, refuses to acknowledge such evil and seeks to tie up the victims in long legal cases, there is no other word for the Vatican- pure evil.

As a "moral teacher", the Catholic Church has been teaching the world what it believes "God" thinks is right and wrong for almost 2,000 years. As a result we have 20 centuries of horrendous crimes against humanity:
See the Almanac of evil:

Slavery, drug trade, murder, suppression are all the tools of the trade used by the Popes and the Church to keep power over the ages.

The Vatican has known for almost 2000 years that it was Paul of Tarsus, not Jesus who founded christianity.

Jesus founded the Nazarenes also known as the gnostics.

===============
What would Jesus Do?

+ The Catholic Church has never been the legitimate body representing Jesus. It is an imposter, a fraud.

+ In spite of the overwhelming evidence of corruption, of morally bankrupt behaviour, of evil, many people continue to defend such action, to the point of attacking those who dare to raise it.

+ Until good people are prepared to take a stand against such evil, it will continue to thrive.

With love in the real Jesus Christ, not Paul.

Almost all of the religions are political in nature. If you sit quietly by and don't affect all of the beliefs, you are not doing your job. The problem that the Catholic church has is that their ideas have not progressed over the years. They are stuck in a politics of the 18th century when people were not educated unless you were rich or in the church. Now people are smart enough to have their own beliefs. They do not blindly obey. The more that they insist that they are correct, the more people will leave the church.

When has the Catholic Church not been political? When has any religion not been a political machine? Religion is culture - a learned behavior. Learned behavior defines who people are. The majority of countries in this world are not Christian. The are Islamic. Their religion is hugely political as it controls every aspect of their lives. Much as our government is now being controlled by a religious zealot. Religion is always political! AND....no I am not anti-religion...as a matter of fact, I am Christian!

Hitler slaughtered millions of Jewish people. Every year 1 million babies are murdered by abortion. Dictators in foreign governments mercilessly kill thousands who oppose them. Are we supposed to stand by and do nothing? We have a dictate from God to preserve life! It's our Christian duty! How are we supposed to call ourselves Christian if we do not work to stop those evils?

The Catholic Church has been a worldwide political machine for about 500 years. The only thing they're paying a price for is remaining in the middle ages. People are slow to wake up, for sure. But, sooner or later, they wake up.

All your e-mails have been tracked and recorded in the Vatican's super-top-secret Chapel of Dossiers.

We will chant your names the next time we dance around our Muslim sacrifice, and you will burst into flame.

Then we will distribute the week's instructions to all the world's governments, which we control. All of them.

Then we will sit back and wait for you to get tired of bashing Catholics and get on the Jews' backs for a while.
