Who constantly compliment you? There is this older lady at my job who does this to me, and while I don't want to offend her, she makes me uncomfortable.

i have learned to graciously accept when others compliment me even if i don't think it is warranted or deserved. To think they would acknowledge me in ANY way shows me they know i am there .Ask yourself why you feel uncomfortable.Is it just this one woman or do you generally feel uncomfortable when ANYONE compliments you? You may find that it isn't her but something inside of you and you are focusing on her rather than understanding why YOU feel uncomfortable.

Yeah, it makes me uncomfortable and embarassed when I get complimented too much also. I don't know what to say and I get all flushed. What does she compliment you about? I would just ignore it.

Someone says nice things about you and you don't like it? You've watched too many sitcoms. You must like people who put you down and laugh behind your back. How about saying "thank you". It's called manners, and parents forgot to teach that to kids born in the 80s and 90s.

Just be straight with her. I know this guy who likes to hug you whenever he sees you and that annoys me so I just said to him "when you need a hug, I'm not the one" and that stopped him from doing it.

Just say thank you and don't take it any further. She obviously likes you or she wouldn't take any time paying you attention. I'm sure she'll stop eventually. Don't be embarrassed.

man, I have that too. I just say really politely, "thanks" and continue with what I am doing. Or I just nod with a smile when I am really uncomfortable. Hope I helped!
