When I staple-gunned a telephone wire to the bottom of the wall the staples continue to fall out because its sheetrock and its not going into a beam. Is there a better way to secure the wire to the wall? Maybe a better staple which would secure it more effectively?

They make a nail, small like a brad, that has a plastic U-shaped tip on it to hold the wire. Tap them in with a small hammer. The gunning in why the staples aren't holding, not the staples. The gun puts them in w/ too much force for the drywall to handle.

Go to a hardware store or to home depot or some such place. Target is not going to do it. Tell them what kind of wire it is and what the wire does. That will determine the type of wire fastener you need. There are many kinds that stick on or nail on. Don't use a staple gun on any type of wire.

I would suggest colored plastic raceway. It comes in a variety of colors and is relatively cheap. It sticks on the wall and snaps closed. Really easy to install. I use it all the time.

Ask for plastic wire-mould. It sticks to most wall surfaces and encloses the wire.

They make indoor decorative exposed conduit for running exposed wiring. You could also use the clear plastic clips that screw into the wall.
