just buy baby wipes....the girls need to learn to keep their parts spotless anyway:) I like wipes so much better, you feel cleaner and refreshed......after you are finished, toss in the trash...no big deal and no more worries of the toilet over flowing....good luck:)

Charmin is super absorbent almost like a brawny towel, you can't use very much especially if you have a "low flow" toilet. Also you should check to make sure the water is filling all the way up in the tank to the water line.I don't care for Charmin and have had the same problems, I have better luck with northern.

On December 16, 2013, I had my septic tank pumped. Eleven days later a plumber snaked my septic line; and after that, he warned me AGAINST using Charmin toilet paper. He advised me to use Scott toilet paper instead because it's more bio-degradable.

Yep, my kids get that soft kind of skott tissue now. They were putting too much Charmin into the toilet so I switched brands. Not the old regular Skott tissue, the new soft stuff. One of my kids wipes 3 times and he hasn't clogged it yet. Ha!

Maybe they are using way too much - I doubt that Charmin is any different than other brands...my family has used prob all of them, and Ive never had that problem. Maybe its time for a plumber to snake it out....might be something in the pipes thats causing it and the TP is just contributing to it.

Well the only reason it will flow is because somebody that uses the bathroom is putting to much tissue paper in the toilet.

Absolutely. It depends on your plumbing, but I had to stop years ago. It expands more...resulting in overflow. However if you have to use so much toilet paper as to cause this, you might want to modify your diet. If your system is working smoothly you shouldn't need more than a few pieces.

Well, if that's the only kind you can use, tell them to flush after a little wiping, and then continue wiping and flush again when they're done. It may use more water, but what's worse than an overflowing toilet?

Use Scott. I had this same problem with any of the really soft tissues. Why can you only use Charmin?
