Being able to pick up sound from as large area as possible is important for survival. (Or at least it was.) The mouth was meant for eating, don't need two to do that. The voice and the ability to talk was more of a fluke. A nice one, but still a fluke.

Dear Wilfire :
;-)
LOL! such a funny question! You always make Me smile!
aha, well this two-eared person may say that since ears are very focused on hearing and almost serve No other purpose, they're much alike eyes, that We also have two of them and also only serve a receptive function...
This means, most information that flows into Our brain must come through senses, and hearing and sight are the most important senses of all five, specially in what regards to learning...
Mouth is a multi-function device that tastes as much as talks, may bite and therefore eat...
The intrinsic message seems rather obvious : Listen and Watch Twice as Much As You Talk !
Good luck! Bear Hugs! ;-)

2 Ears are for pin pointing the direction of sound. With one ear you could not do this. To protect against danger.
A mouth is to eat , and only 1 is required.

The mouth does so many things, we only need one of them. The ears come in twos so we can absorb sound from all angles.

We need two ears to hear all around us but we only need one mouth to put food.......now if our mouth heard and our ears ate it would be vise versa....... but if our belly button ate then we would still only need one, and if our eyes heard then two would do as well just situated different, but if our eyes ate then we would have to eliminate one and move our ears that see around to the front and and our mouth that hears would move around to the side and add one......forget it, I think things are fine the way they are....

With two mouths you would be talking out both sides of your face... a feet that some are still capable of pulling off.

So we can hear from both sides of our brain, and process what information comes out of the singular mouth.
