He was AMAZING!!! If you wanted to laugh, he had Colorado Coolaid, if you wanted to cry, he had Teddy Bear. If you wanted a spookey feeling, He had Big Joe and Phantom 309, if you wanted to be happy, he had Why Baby Why. His songs ran the gauntlet of emotion, and you would SWEAR he was feeling the same. His voice could laugh, or you could hear the tears. He was just incredible, and it is a shame the kids today will never know about the REAL country that once was.

I also grew up listening to Red Sovine's music. Daddy's Girl was my father-daughter dance at my wedding.

I love listening to Red Sovine.

There is something I want to share.

Many Semi truck drivers adore him, as well.
This may be someting that most people do not know.

The day of Red Sovines funeral. Many, if not all, semi truck drivers pulled off the road and refused to drive to pay hommage to a great man that seemed to know just what it meant to be a truck driver.

The one that brings me to tears is "Teddy Bear".

"Daddy's Girl" is amazing. "18 Wheels Humming Home Sweet Home" is excellent. "It'll Come Back" and "Teddy Bear" are both classics. I have his CD called "Best of Red Sovine" and love it.

big fan of his storytime lyrics and the sadness behind some of them. I have several of his songs. I have to say Phantom 309 is one of my favorites he did.
