Huh. That's a loaded question if I ever heard one.

Not that I'm defending either party, but since the parties don't choose the candidates who run, perhaps it's a stupid question. Maybe after the nominations you could make a case for it, but even then I don't think it carries much weight, but to say that people running for an office makes one party wrong is simply silly. If someone black or hispanic or female or minority wanted to run for the Republican nomination, right now, they'd be welcomed with open arms. The problem is that nobody wants the Republican nomination now, because after 8 years of the Bush league, the brandname "Republican" doesn't sell very well. So, no self-respecting minority wants the nomination.

Of the two major parties in the US either party could and does recognized minorities. George W. Bush has the most racially diverse administration in history. The Democrats have the first two serious contenders for the presidency that could fit in that group. Both parties have done some pandering and both parties have been genuine in their efforts to bring minorities into their party and support minority candidates.

Since the Democratic party pushed the voting rights act of 1964 and other civil rights laws we have slowly seen a change in both parties toward acceptance of people of color. I believe we will see this trend continue.

I think the question itself is flawed. Blacks vote 90+ % democratic because they THINK the candidates are looking out for them. All the democrats actually do is pander to them adn they are perfectly contenet to keep blacks from achieving too much so they will always feel they "need" democrats. Republicans want to treat blacks and whites the same, but democrats twist this to be anti-black because there are no special differneces.

You cannot judge that based on candidates ethnicity. Any party that put forward a candidate based on their ethnic makeup and not their qualifications and abilities at the job, would for sure NOT get my vote.

Democrats. Republicans pretend like they care about minorities but they don't.

You can't pick one candidate that will appease all minorities. Its up to you to do the research and pick someone who is right for you.

REPUBLICANS.

They want to treat everyone equally, and not sustain a perpetual underclass with handouts.

PS Where were you when Clarence Thomas, Condoleeza Rice and Alberto Gonzales were targets of racial attacks by the Democrats?
