By the way that this administration has over reacted to 9/11, there is a palpable air of cruelty within its ranks.
The reasonable and prudent reaction to our enemies has always been a respectable given with our country.
Why have we so obviously over reacted this time?

You can pick up on it when listening to the way Cheney, Bush, Rove, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, etc., make statements and answer questions.

They aren't sadists, just megalomaniacs intent on controlling the worlds oil supplies with whatever tactics necessary. They have no conscience and care not how many people have to die to achieve their goals.
Most of the major resistance groups in Iraq have drafted peace plans to bring about an end to the sectarian violence and eventually end the war. The Bush Administration refuses to negotiate with them with the justification that they don't make deals with "terrorists". The US military is the most brutal terrorist organization this world has ever seen and still Bush and his cronies refuse to admit their hypocracy.
They aren't sadists, just a bunch of selfish individuals blinded by greed and corporate power.

This is actually one of the most humane wars we've ever fought. We still haven't lost one percent of the soldiers we lost in World War II. And although the prisons hold our enemies for an indeterminable length of time, you should note that so far we have placed absolutely NO muslims in any ovens, or experimented with them, or practiced our beheading techniques, or used them as target practice.
I think the real sadism is letting the war go this long in the first place. We SHOULD have a less humane war, so our soldiers (that includes me) can come home to our families, instead of spend year after year in another country while a liberal government (who has way less veterans than the conservatives) tries to run a war they know nothing about.
