In most major companies, supervisors are required to deal with job performance issues with you in private. Remember, every boss has another boss. Complain that you were unjustly humiliated in front of other employees and mention the word lawsuit! The company won't risk a lawsuit and will probably say some harsh words to your boss to make you feel better so you will change your mind.
If your boss is truly slag and unprofessional, just give him a dose of his own medicine. A supervisor cannot do anything to you for pointing out all the stuff that he does wrong. This will irritate the hell out of him and soon enough he will leave you alone.

Change jobs. Such a boss cannot create a good work environment.
The other choice is to embark on a goal of character modification. This is an intellectual task which to be genuinely productive forboth you and your boss requires self-understanding first.
And then there is the problem of how to find self-understanding in a culture based upon two contradicting perspetives, the material and the spiritual. Such understanding is dependent upon personal integrity and to have that you much choose only one perspective. Is there another perspective? Yes. It is: Everything is made of value including you.

Don't deal with them just have nothing to do with them. If you get too involved you may be the next target. Ignore them and they may just go away. Why add stress to your life? I know it's annoying to say the least sometimes but it's also wise to avoid conflict.
