Well, at present, politically, it's probably because that's the way our societies are geared. Men don't want a female leader, and enough females agree that they make up a majority. On a personal and social level, I think you'll find that quite the opposite is often true.
That being said, it obviously begs the follow-up, "Wouldn't things be different if it wasn't?" and the answer is, 'probably not'. There is no evidence that any real, historically documented and universally acknowledged female-dominant society that didn't deal with its neighbors from a position of complete helplessness had any considerable chance of being any more peaceful or egalitarian than the current male-dominated ones. I find most assertions that things would be better to sound a lot like, "Gee, it'd be great if I was the one doing the oppressing!"

Its just a cultural thing. In some cultures, the females dominate. This culture happened to come to dominate the world thru capitalism and military power and it happens to be male controlled. Of course we have the opportunity to change that. Margaret Thatcher led England for many years and Golda Meir led Israel successfully, as well. It is possible that Hillary Clinton could be elected in 2008, she is a very capable and competent leader, if she became President she would bring a welcome female perspective to America's political leadership.

It's due to the prominence of the Hebraic religions in the last two thousand years. They are all patriarchal, and the two younger ones have been nastily so.
However, the planet is moving out of the Age of Pisces now, into the Age of Aquarius, so we see a couple of interesting thingsa happening -
1) Structured religions are becoming more violent in their death throes, and
2) People are beginning to take responsibility for their own actions, taking control of their own lives, and becoming better people for it.
The "Armageddon" people talk about will mean not the 'end of the world', but the end of religions as we know them.
Bring it on!!

It's not a conspiracy.
Simple answer is that the male of the human species had more physical strength.
Females took on other roles to allow the stronger males to
hunt for food.
Still the way of life for primitive societies that rely on hunting for subsistence.
Hunters over time gave way to modern" wage earners" who provide food & other necessities.
Male / female roles have changed as the need for physical strength to survive diminished but the basic "convention" persists even thought the role taken is now more a matter of choice.

Ha, whoever told you that is lying.
Women control the world, through and through. Everything males do is for women, that's what nature tells us so far.
Men may control just because women don't want to, but in the end, they control genetics, and who gets to reproduce, so they have all the power.

Because women LIKE to be dominated. Look at all the idiots you go out with and the scared way you act whenever anything really matters. If you don't compete aggressively, you won't get anywhere.

Is it though? i mean dont you think woman are getting way more control than before, i mean most commercials are for - women, | most magazines are for - women | infact most stores are for - women. so really men dont dominate there is a lot of female control.
