It depends on the situation. I wouldn't hop into a sidecar for just anyone, but you get the right person on the bike, I'd do it.

I'm a CA rider as well, and I don't know about this question specifically. I believe it's ok, as long as you don't cross back and forth across the double yellow. Safety first, however, and if you're getting crowded out of your lane, you gotta do whatever is safe......if a cop pulls you over, most of them will understand that your safety is the primary concern. Besides, if a cop sees you, they won't be able to catch you UNLESS they are a motorcycle cop, and motorcycle cops are cool to riders! Keep safe!

Yep. But I don't need to. Tricycles are a popular mode of transportation here in the Philippines for decades... but those are the safe sorts... I imagine the types you're talking about are those without the roof...

I actually thought about that a few times and .. .. i would be too scared ..... so close to the ground..... ..... looks like fun... but i couldn't get in it......... good question though...
