I have a brand new shower door. And the bottom track is only about four inches long. ( More like a guide.) it is made out of a soft plastic and is supose to snap in. But it wont stay in. I tried a block of wood with a hammer to drive it in. But that didn't work either. I was going to try to glue it but was told I shouldnt do that . Please help. Thanks in advance.

Are you saying that the 'guide' is n ot in place properly? Consider using a light filing to get the piece to properly fit. Sometimes these things have to be done. However, be awayre that you may affect the ability of the item to STAY in place.

In such areas, I would consider glue, but Yes, glue is permanet. If the guide is ever broken, then you would be hard pressed to replace it properly. I would use Hot glue. Should you ever need to replace the guide, the hot glue can be easily cut away and 're-glued'.
