may be because they are not sure of what they are doing or the kind of image that they are having in other people's point of view and I dont think that there is anything wrong in that.It is just that they wanna know the public point of view.

People who do not have full faith about themselves ask others about that...This varies with different persons.A friend may ask u abt himself just to hear ur opinion abt him.A lover may ask his/her partner just to hear great abt themselves.......u try it once........
