Yes I think so. If you have no self respect how can you respect another. If you put yourself down, how can you raise another up? If you don't know inner peace how can you give it to someone who needs it? When you know and love yourself you can know and love others.

It is difficult to love someone in a healthy manner, but it isn't just not true period. loving someonelse is a reflection of how you love yourself. I struggled with this concept for over 20 years before it made sense to me. so don't let this one get to you, ok? It is idealistic, and it only makes for a strong relationship. lots of love is real but unhealthy. be patient with yourself or the other person. If you can read a book on self esteem, or see a good relationship counselor.

I found that it is true. I look back on my life and can see that what I thought love was turned out to be an excuse for control, co-dependence, and sex.

As life went on and I continued to learn from mistakes I have found that at this point I am much better able to love a woman that I ever could. But like all people, I am a work in progress. If I wish to, I can only improve, sometimes in spite of myself.

I think that you can absolutely loathe yourself to the point of self-destructive behavior and still be madly in love with someone else.

A lot of people despise themselves due to failed "passionate love." The kind of love where someone is placed on a pedestal, flaws and all, and worshiped unrealistically and placed in a position where they ultimately disappoint and then embitter those who placed them on the pedestal in the first place. They're sort of sold on the nonsense of violins playing and cupids cavorting about.

What a person who dislikes themselves would probably have problems with is "compassionate love." This is the kind of love that makes us want to protect and take care of those whom we hold dear. It's probably the opposite of "passionate
love" and infinitely less destructive and far more desirable. It affirms life and alleviates suffering, the most noble thing a person can do.

If I wasnt living this new life -I would regret what i never did because I had money as a rich Jewish guy, but was so empty I was going to commit suicide -money couldnt buy me happiness.

a woman said they are hypocrites, well I would rather be in a group with hypocrites than go to hell tormented forever gnashing teeth, weeping forever for rejecting salvation-Revelation 19-22nd chapters and heavens joy is described there too.

In hell do you want your forever weeping to be with the words-I wouldnt listen-they were so wrong-while you see the wrong ones near you gnashing their teeth too
