It could be a number of items.
1. Lower Ball Joints
2. Shocks
3. Strut Rod Rubber Bushings
4. Lower Control Arm Rubber Bushings
5. CV Joints
6. PS Pump/Belt
7. Fluid Level
8. Steering Rack
9. Wheel Bearings
Check fluid level. If OK check the all moving parts on the steering.
A common cause is the rubber has deteriorated in the control arm or struts front/rear. Spray the area with a nonpetroleum base lubricant such as Fluid Film. If squeak persists investigate further.

From the brief description you gave it does indeed sound like a bearing plate issue or a ball joint that is starting to seize. Most imports dont have grease zerks on the ball joints but it is worth checking. If you can start by greasing all the zerks on the front end and retest.

Replace the wheel bearing on both front wheels. Get 2 new bearings and with proper tools less than 1 hour or send to a garage for less than S$200 inclusive part.

Maybe you need power steering fluid. You can add this yourself. Go by an AUTOZONE or other auto store or gas station and have them check the fluid level. You can also do this yourself. Look in your car guide for the location of the dip stick. If low, add more.

It sounds to me like a wheel bearing. i've got self belief they're double row angular bearings, and one race can fail. it is many times dure to the seal failing and letting water in. The exchange in noise while cornering factors to a bearing, as this might exchange the thrust load. it may desire to no longer be glaring from spinning the wheel, or rocking the wheel, as on of the races could desire to be ok.
