If you have then often, I would go to a real Chinese Accupuncturist. I've known three people who have had chronic headaches and now they very rarely get them. They thank me so much every time they see me. It has changed their world. Sex is good too at the beginning of the headache.

If it's not especially bad, first try Tylenol extra strength. it doesn't get better, then in two hours you can take Advil (make sure you eat a little something with it). You can continue taking these as the same one every FOUR hours, or alternating them every TWO hours.
In the beginning if it's really bad, or you know that advil won't help, take Alieve.
Make sure you are hydrated!

Depends on the kind of headache.
Generally: 2-500mg Aspirin and 2- 500mg Tylenol Rapid release
Sometimes 2-Aleve and 2-tylenol
Sometimes 2-advil liqui-gel and 2-tylenol
