I am doing a project on the cars used in the Great Gatsby. Any info about the cars in the book would be helpful. Thanks!

It does mention that Gatsby's car is a Rolls Royce and that is one key. Also, it takes place in about 1922 and therefore if you are looking for cars you would have to find cars from this date, or earlier. There are a great many changes in cars in the late-20s, so be cautious the dates are correct.

If I remember correctly The Great Gatsby takes placse in the 1920's durring the great depression so probably lizzies and old cars like that ( Like the new cars that just rolled off the belt line by ford)

This is the passage in the novel that describes Gatsby's car:

"I’d seen it. Everybody had seen it. It was a rich cream color, bright with nickel, swollen here and there in its monstrous length with triumphant hat-boxes and supper-boxes and tool-boxes, and terraced with a labyrinth of wind-shields that mirrored a dozen suns. Sitting down behind many layers of glass in a sort of green leather conservatory, we started to town."

Happy reading!!!
