that is now showing on sky one, I heard that this was going to be the last series but watching it, i'm now not sure?

There will be 3 more series after the current one finishes. There will only be 18 episodes per series and so the whole thing will finish in 2010 after 120 hours on our screens!

Lost has 3 more seasons, slated to end May 2010. The next 3 seasons will run from January to May, and be 16 episodes each. This is the U.S. schedule. Don't know any others.

No, as was said before Lost is showing six total seasons. The last three seasons will be 16 episodes each showing consecutively so NO REPEATS!
I'm glad they are doing this as they lost viewers with the hiatus they had this season and all the repeats they had in season two.
Between seasons Lost fans can meticulously go through each episode of the previous seasons.

The season finale is next Sunday but the show will continue until 2010. Although the seasons will be alot shorter.
This means after this Sunday no more Lost till January next year! I think the gaps are too long between seasons and they'll lose alot of viewers.
I cant understand why they can't take a couple of months off and then show the next season.

I read that there has now been a 5 year arc worked out for the series. It's a pity they didn't work out the story arc properly before starting the show. That would have made it interesting. Instead I really think that they are making it up as they go.

I had heard that there was going to be 2 smaller series of 16 episodes each, because they're losing lots of viewers because it's going on too long!

no i think there may be about 7 of them, loads of people are going to die at the end of this series though
