It's becoming more popular than limewire and in my experience it is much faster.

I would also say it's safer. Neither are completely safe but as long as you have a good firewall (or a router) and some up-to-date AV software you should be fine.

As to your question "Bit Torrent safer and faster in downloading media files than Limewire". The issue is not one of being faster, more like safety.

When you use P2P, I can assure you that downloading of music, or any other software file belonging to another person is not legal.

Plus if the download containts a trojan virus or spyware your pc is infected, unless you have state of the art technolgoy antispyware where the background scanner will catch the virus during the downloading/uploading and kill the entire file.

Otherwise you better have a really good firewall and anivirus program to scan your download.

Plus P2P leaves a string of nasty keys in your registry.

I have never used Bit Torrent for downloading files but I have used Limewire..Ugh!!!. Perhaps I should have used Bit Torrent and trusted them.

Bit torent and limewire are not safe at all.They bring viruses and trojans to PCs.The best software you can use is Winmx.It doe's not download any virus or something like that.You can get it from www.winmxgroup.com

dont use limewire.., its no good for your computer,, I have no problems with torrent
