I own the system, and it looks great. Gameplay is smooth, and the graphics are topnotch. I actually believe with a Blu-Ray disc player, it should cost more than $600 bones. I know for a fact, a Blu-Ray dvd player is close to a grand alone. You would be crazy to not buy a PS3. So my question is, why are so many people disliking a great system?...I guess they can't afford it.

In my opinion the Ps3 doesnt have that good of graphics, some of the games are alright but its not really worth the money. I sold mine about a week after i got it and bought a Wii instead. its actually alot better. people have theyre opinions though to me, its a pretty crappy system and the prices are gunna go down just like Ps 1s, 2s and then 3s. it happens with every system.

The fact is that the experts have found glitches in the system, and the fact that the other systems have been cheaper has resulted in questions about whether or not PS3 can compete. Thus, Sony has not been pumping out games for it. The prediction right now is that there simply will not be enough games to justify buying a PS3. No one wants to spend that kind of dough if it is going to turn out a couple of years from now that they are saddled with an overpriced Sega Saturn with no new games.

That's not to say that it won't work out in the end. Sony is pretty smart. But the early buzz doesn't look good.

W/ the Wii and the 360 out w/ much cheaper prices and much better games, why get a PS3? Gamers are more concerned about the actual games than extra features. Now, dont get me wrong, extra features are nice. But when they make the system cost $600 and they only have a handful of worthy games (Resistance and Virtual Fighter), the other consoles are just better.

well even though blu-ray costs more as a dvd player but u cant tell a big difference in the quality, and for a system costing $600 and most of its games havent been able to use but a small percentage of its processor

There is many reasons why we hate it ...but all the new gen systems are over priced.....Personally ...there is not AMAZING games out yet 4 it .....You can do more with a xbox 360 and who cares if i does not have a built in HD/blue ray player....The dvds are like 30 bucks.....the PS3 is not worth it in my eyes....but about the 1000 bucks thing....In Australia that's how much you have to dish out 4 a PS3....I'm not haten on the PS3 or nothing ...I mean Sony is a good company ...but its not amazing ...I'M glad you like your PS3 ..and it hasn't melted on you ....Ya you would be crazy to BUY one ....u think about it you buy the system ...you spend all your money and you haven't even bought a single game.....i dont like the system because ..of the hard ware and the games....Thats all it is to it.....

The price is a big downfall, as well as the games are too similar to PS2 games, they're all war combat which gets boring
