Whit week is the week of Pentecost, people. 40 days after Easter...when the Holy Spirit descended on the gathered Disciples "in power" in Acts--all those "tongues of fire" and that.
I live in S. Spain and locally it's not a holiday, however some small towns round about are having festivals etc. My city does too much with Easter week to rate a Pentecost holiday because national labour laws control how many days off the workforce is entitled to per yr in any single locality.

i'm off till the 24th sept but i'm a student (lol)
partner is only off for bank holiday monday and my daughter is off for the week. we're in the uk
