A woman I work with feels I got ripped off. How can I get ripped off from a $399 laptop?

The only way I could imagine you could get ripped off, is if you bought the laptop refubished, and the slaesperson did not tell you about it.

Another thing, is if the laptop is refurbished, there was an obvious problem with it previously, which means that the problem can become an issue again.

One other way I can imagine you got ripped off, is if the laptop has old, and I mean really old technology in it, like as Intel Celeron Processor, or AMD chips from 2003.

Laptops with that kind of technology, are usually sold for less than what you paid, but who knows, what the computer lacks in processor, in could make up for in RAM.

Good luck with your laptop.

You can't have gotten much of a laptop for only 399, unless it is a complete piece of junk, you probably did not get ripped off.

You probably didn't get "ripped off" but the laptop is probably pretty basic. She may just be expecting more programs. For $399 you can't really complain!

You forgot the MOST IMPORTANT thing....you did not say what is the CPU brand i.e. Intel or AMD. If all you intend to do with the thing is troll Yahoo Answers than you got your money's worth but if you expect to play a modern game or make dvds then you should of spent at least $1000. Oh and did it have a build in graphics card as in ATI or Ndivia....
