It's kind of pretty, but there are a couple problems with it, I think:
A) When people have two first names, a lot of the time the second one is only one syllable like "Ann" or "Kate" so Alyson-Marie sounds kind of wordy
B) There have been studies done on how names are spelled and how that affects the children: Alyson is typically spelled "Allison." Studies have said that in the early years, names spelled abnormally create difficulty for the children in school (like if they're learning how to write their name, or the teacher calls on her and doesn't know for sure how to pronounce it, other kids don't know how to spell it).
Overall though, the name sounds okay.

I like Alyson, but Marie is used way too much, try Corrine or Rayne

I like the name Alyson, however, a lot of ppl will shorten to Aly whether you want them to or not. Especially once she reaches school age.
Alyson was on my list and we ended up going with Aleia.(a-lee-a)
No one has even tried to shorten it yet.

Very nice. I have an Allyson and her middle name is Ryan. We might have used marie with it but had already used it with her older sister. People will call her Ally. I know we do, but they call her Allyson at school.
