From Ganapatipule, please reach Hathkhamba naka. You will be joining Goa to Mumbai national highway. One road goes for Goa, another to Ratnagiri and the remaining one towards Mumbai.
You will soon reach Sangameshwar, then Chiplun. After Chiplun, you will come to Khed. You will be negotiating a ghat section.
After Khed, you will again negotiate a very dangerous ghat section -"Kashedi" / "Kasheli". At the end of the ghat you will reach Poladpur.
From Poladpur, leave national highway and take a turn to Mahabaleshwar. You will be negotiating another difficult and long ghat - "Ambenali ghat". At the top of ghat is Mahabaleshwar.
The entire route is hilly and strewn with various ghat sections and lots of curves everywhere but enjoyable.
