Light in automobiles are from two ,one is called self generated and other one is battery operated.If some time battery get low or bulb is of higher capacity, the light give dim reflection. In the other case, the electric power is generated by moving magnetic wheel with the help of a coil.In case the magnetic power of moving wheel go decreased,it may cause low production of current and likewise, if the current coil's insulation go weak,l the current is produced low and this cause low lighting problem.check it with automechanic/autoelectrician.

I guess you need a more powerful headlight...
you need to make a lot of changes, in your battery, bulb etc etc. Consult you mechanic... but i dont think it is required as it is objectionable to other drivers coming in opposite directions.

Take your bulb out and put a hologen bulb in it's place, I don't know what type bulb you have, but your local parts store should be able to help you find the upgrade replacement.
