Sens have never been this deep into the playoffs. i'm sorry, but the Stanley Cup Finals is quite different than the first 3 rounds. both the ducks and wings have been this deep. and the wings have done it several times. frankly, if the wings manage somehow to get past the ducks (which will be very tough now), i don't think that they'll mess it up by losing to the Sens. Since the fiasco to NJ in 95, the wings have not lost a Stanley Cup Finals they have appeared in. there is too much talent and experience on their team.
Ducks will be a tough opponent too. the west is more physical, generally. the Sens haven't played a physical team. or one that focuses on defense AND has scoring power. NJ tends to be defensive, but they didn't seem to play well in their defensive system either.
furthermore, the Sens will have a long rest, and won't have as much momentum as either a Ducks team who finished off the wings, or a wings team, who came back against the best-playing team in the NHL right now ... the Ducks.
i don't think the Sens are going to roll over; they may win 1 or 2, but the West will win the Cup.

I think the Senators are in big trouble, regardless of who makes it between the Ducks and Wings. They have not faced a single good defensive team all playoffs. Defense wins championships. They've breezed through the playoffs, facing little adversity. Buffalo was all O all season. Very talented, but not really built for a championship. They need better defense. Pittsburgh was the same way. Meanwhile, New Jersey was the most overrated team in the playoffs. They had the defense, but their scoring depth was pathetic.
Now Ottawa is stuck sitting around waiting for the Western Finals to get over. They'll be rusty. They'll be unprepared to play against something totally unlike what they have faced so far. Both Detroit and Anaheim have decent scoring depth, playoff experience, and above all great defense and goaltending. The Sens simply have not played a team like this yet. There is no way to predict who will win, but the Senators are not in as good of shape as you think.

I don't think the Ducks have what it takes as they take a lot of penalities which they would pay for against the Senators. The Senators on the other hand have great penalty killing so they afford to give as good they get if it gets chippy. The Redwings on the other hand have the advantage of being the Redwings.

I think the biggest thing about the Stanley Cup finals is that you just dont know...with Ottawa/Buffalo there was the season series to go off of, but with the East vs. West there is nothing to judge it against, no prior history. The Sens didnt play Anaheim this year and they played Detroit only once, so its really hard to guage whats going to happen.
To answer your question, it'll be close, but Ottawa seems to like being the underdog, so I think they just might have enough to win it.

I think the Red Wings offense and the Ducks defense would have a shot at Ottawa.

I think they both have there advantages and disadvantage. If they play the ducks it will be more of a physical challenge for Ottawa whereas if they play Detriot it will be more of a defensive advantage for them.
The team that most likely could stay with Ottawa the longest is Anahiem, because they have push, whereas Detriot gets a little cocky sometimes.
I agree with you though, I want to see the ducks win!

i think the ducks would pose the greatest threat because they are the more explosive team and defensive team, but it's all ottawa as far as i'm concerned..they are on a role and ever when they loose, they still could have won.
i think the ducks could make it a six game series.

The simple truth is that any of the 3 remaining teams are capable of hoisting the cup.
