Gortamor, I appreciate you're Irish, but recent Irish history isn't what the question was about.
Fair point about the Black and Tans being animals though. I'd be inclined to find a term less insulting on animals thought. More like w*nkers I think.

I would up information on pigeons. Just google the word pigeon and WWII and I believe Irish Terriers were used as messanger dogs as well as German Shepards who were used by the SS. Just google the animal and pick a war.

You must mean the Black and Tans. They were disbanded in 1922.

Beastie, you are right on that. Is not fair to compare those vicious brutes to innocent animals.
