Getting all my stuff unpacked, and finding where to put things. I just moved into this apartment a month ago, and it's pretty well "home" now. My latest piecework project is sitting on the couch, my computer is up and running, and all my dishes and pots and pans have found their places in the kitchen. There's still a few unpacked boxes in the back room, but basically I am at home.
It will be more like home when my friends get to see it. So far, I've only had one couple visit. They are the ones who come over every Tuesday to take me grocery shopping, because I do not drive. But one friend has recently started dating a new boyfriend, another lives a couple of hours away, and another has all sorts of health problems and also lives pretty far away. I only moved to St. Louis in February, and don't have many friends in the area. Gotta get out and meet new people, I guess.
Also gotta run that darn vacuum cleaner! But not at 6:00 a.m.

usually people, pets and something about the way the place is decorated or set up that makes it feel 'homey'.

the important thing is, my family is there, and we're all happy together, and the ambiance is like our home sweet home back in our country.
