i first saw jaws wen i was like 7. it was summer. i could get into a pool without someone in the pool that i could see.
my friends knew of this and would secretly slip out of the water and leave me alone in the deep end. i recall i ripped one of their swimming suits i was so mad - Lol.
i was so scared that wen i took a bath, i couldnt look at the water, i kept my eyes on the tap the entire 30 minutes...
i have a slight water phobia but that doesnt get me away from the great waves to duck ... its just a little inner fear that makes a day in the atlantic exciting.
ps: i havent watched any other movie to do with any creature living lives underwater and kills since......

A little. We were vacationing at the ocean when I saw it as a kid. I had a bad scrape on my knee from an amusement ride, and I got in the water to wash it with salt water. Guess I wasn't that scared.

Yes.........I was afraid to go anywhere alone. It didnt matter, I was scared that Jaws would swim up thru my toilet. I hated the beach 4 the longest time and my brother used to chase me around the house singing that theme music. I would almost wet my pants.

Living in a small Michigan town I was pretty sure that I wasn't going to get chomped by a shark in a lake... but I am still wary of swimming in the Ocean, though that small fear doesn't stop me from doing it.

Oh yes! I saw it in the theatre, I lived on the Atlantic seacoast, and everybody was scared out of their wits by that exciting music!
It was great!

No, but that's mainly due to the fact that I reside in Michigan, of which is several hundred miles from the nearest ocean:)

I was afraid of the ocean to begin with, so that just made it worse.
