I've seen it a few times (mostly on nudist beaches, of course). Just the bottoms is called a monokini, but what do you call it when a girl just wears the top? And has anyone tried this - er - unusual fashion?

There is no term, rather a facial expression. All guy's have this look built in.
Anyway, why would one not expose their top if the kitty's in full display. I don't get nudists.

i think mostly its known to wear bottoms not top but unusual for not the bottoms but the top!

Well ive always called it a bikini top or refered to the style of bikini top it was - either a bra or triangle bra.

Still monokini.
"Mono" means "one". So as long as one is wearing only half of the two-piece outfit, it is "mono".
