It's possible that you could have an infection going on. The only way to know for sure is to have this evaluated by your dr to see what they think could be the problem.

Might be a yeast infection http://www.emedicinehealth.com/candidiasis_yeast_infection/article_em.htm
there are some symptoms, and you can treat it otc with monistat better to get the 7 day treatment to get it all sometimes the 1 day doesn't do the full trick and then you have to do another treatment. It will also come with a anti-itch cream use as directed and wait it out, it will suck, but once its over you will be relieved.

It sounds like a yeast infection. If you've never had one before, you should have it looked at by a doctor, just to be sure that's all it is. You can treat it with monistat cream, available without a prescription...if you get a combo pack or the tube of cream and applicators (not the prefilled one) you can use some of the cream on your labia to treat the itching...you would still need to use the cream with the applicators, because the infection is probably inside too.

It sounds like a common fungus similar to Tinea, very red and itchy. There are many "creams" you can buy from the chemist and these work very well. You must continue to apply the cream for 5 days after the redness goes away. Don't wear satin or silky undies or undies that are too tight. Cotton is best. I don't know where you are from but an excellent anti fungal cream treatment here in Australia is called Canestan.

Sound like yeast infection. You can get something at the drugstore to relieve some of the itching, something like Monistat. But book an appt to make sure it is a yeast infection. Good luck!

It could just be from having sex, if you don't have it frequently. It could also be an allergy to a certain soap or other chemical. Some women do seem to have a reaction to semen, especially if it is a new partner. It could also be chlamydia or gonorrhea, BV (bacterial vaginosis), or other vaginal infection. You would be advised to see a health care provider for an individual assessment. In the meantime, you might try using saline in the area and not soap.
Hope this helps

There is a cream called Vagisil that is made for this problem. Have you changed laundry detergents or fabric softeners lately? Or tried a new bath item like soap or bubblebath? It could be an allergic reaction. Vagisil is available over the counter. If the condition persists for more than a few days, contact your physician.

This might be a yeast infection. Just an imbalance of candidis in your vaginal area. Try some Monistat or the generic version of this for the next few days. If it doesn't help, you will need to get to the doctor, might be infection, allergic reaction, etc. Good health.
