where the complex is the marina there has access to the sea, and yet there has been nom mention of checking boats that could leave without lights under low rev' power. Check what boats were in the marina that day and which were not the next day. Everything is pointed to inland search, that are coming up negative. "Crikey" it is on the southern part of portugal and nothing ...nothing....has shown a sea search or as already mentioned. It so easy to slip anchor and quitely move away showing no lights, especially with all the noise of the complex etc etc.. just check the boats that were there that day and what was not there the next morning. and also which of these boats came back to its mooring within 24 hours or something like that. Please "GOD" find her, bless her and maddies parents, they were lulled into a false sense of security and safety.

I am sure the police has searched all the boats leaving the marina. You can't assume that it has not just because you didn't hear or read about it. I am sure the police is following a lot of clues that don't leak out to the press.

Yes, lets hope that Maddy does turn up safe and well. The police in Portugal are very different to the ones here. I am sure they have indeed checked the marina bu tnot made this public. I think there is little mention of the marina as it took them so long to close it after the disappearance. Just one point on the "lulled into a false security" bit, come on, everyone wants little Maddy returned safely to her parents but at the end of the day, if they had left three kids of that age sleeping to go to a restauarant in this country then they would at best be charged with neglect and at worst serve time and see there children taken into foster care. I wonder if the parents were poor people with little education, if the media coverage would have been from the same angle or wheter they would have been criticised more? Remember when Sarah (cant remember her last name) went missing the coverage of her parents was non to flattering.

Every boat that was moored at the marina has a register called the small ships reg and before anyone moors they have to ask permission first and give their ssr number that way all the boats that come and go will be on a register and the police will have details of every boat,

i dont know if they have all i do know is the police seem to work very different from ours here in ireland/ and those in the uk i think .
i dont know if all this keeping information to themseleves is good or bad,one way may be good as people or person who have maddy wont know what their next move is...bad because noone know what they have done and everyone could end up for instance searching the same place lots of times...or giving loads of the same reports to the police which would take up time to sort out from fresh leads.

very good question and so nice somebody has posted something here without calling the parents as there's no point. I hope the police have explored every possibilty. I am also hoping that they are keeping lots from the public and are on the right trail.

I'm sure the police have thought of that too. There are probably lots of little details that the police know and arent making public. It will help them sift through the phone calls and tip-offs they get. eg...say they know for definate that she got taken away by boat...when someone phones to say they saw a car speeding off then they know it's a fake call.

mate you should join the police force over there!

You, by yourself, would probably be doing a much better job than their whole team.

Who am I to say that though, Meh.
