lately, when i eat at a subway, i notice they hardly put any meat on the subs. One subway put 2 scoops of tuna fish per 6 inch sub and another 3 scoops, either way it was lacking a lot of tuna. And their spicy italian barely had any meat on it. Im thinking pound for pound, subway is the worst deal out of all the fast food places. Whatever happened to the more meat less fat that they promised?

Also they are the hardest to get coupons for.

Well, I agree with the asker.. Since around a year ago (right around the time they stopped the free sub club card) I think they have gotten stingier due to cutting costs.

I've noticed this too... Prior to this, I'd always ordered the steak and cheese kind of sandwich and they'd usually put a decent amount of steak.. (to which the sandwich was about 1/3 bread, 1/3 veggies, and 1/3 meat) and although I don't know the real reason for sure, I'd simply guess they are cost-cutting to the point of going downhill in the quality as well as the quantity of the meat too.. The texture is different, and that too is also sub-par (IMO, steak texture is alot less tender, and what used to be strips or slices of steak is now mostly cubed-kind of beef instead of steak).. Chicken sandw. seem to be O.K. still.. But both subway and quizno's have too much bread and not enough meat, (all in my opinion - even when ordering 'add double meat for $1' still pretty sad 0.0..)

My suggestion to you (besides making it yourself, and getting better quality ingredients from the grocery store) is to perhaps find a better sub-sandwich shop (esp. if you can find a locally-owned sandw./gyro/steak sandwich shop if there's one around you).. Arby's is getting as bad if not worse too (IMO) and hopefully before long maybe someone will bring back the "Where's the beef?" campaign lolz

Agreed, I was a big fan of subway back in the day. It was a good sandwich for a decent price. Now it is overpriced and they are skimpy with their meat. Personally i like Lenny's the best when I can find them. Quizno's when I want to splurge.

That was Quizno's. Subway has always been lots of bread and vegetables, very little meat. You could simply make a fresh sandwich at home. Eat real food.

They usually include everything but the cheese and sauces. Bread is definitely included, as are the veggies and meat.
