Absolutely not! He stats don't even come close to HOF numbers. He is in his eleventh season with a little more than 1000 hit and 174 home runs. Even if you double his numbers over a 22 year career you have 2000 hits and 348 home runs with only a .271 lifetime batting average. These are not HOF stats. Add to that the fact that he never won a world series and it just doesn't work for him. He's a good fielder, not great and an average hitting.

I'm not seeing a lot of Hall-class performance in his history. Good but not great hitting, and even with those Gold Gloves, which mostly he has deserved, realize that defense rarely gets an outfield player the plaque. He's not done, of course, and could end up looking better, but he's also north of 30 and so time is getting short.

He'll finish in better position than a lot of guys considered but never elected, but that's not the same as getting in.

I have limited confidence in Hunter's Hall candidacy.

Tori Hunter has several years to go before he retires from baseball. The overall career will determine if he belongs in the Hall of Fame. Based on his current performance, yes, but things could change if he were to be injured enough that his playing time were drastically shortened. I hope he does make it eventually. He is a joy to watch, and I am a Red Sox fan!!

Chow!!

He would have to string together a lot of phenomenal years from now through the rest of his career to be considered. Hunter's been a very good player, but nowhere near a Hall of Famer.

I dont think he has the offensive numbers.Defense usually doesnt get outfielders in the Hall of Fame.Who was the guy from Oakland, won a few Golden Gloves, but hes not in the Hall.Dwayne Murphy?Maybe a few more pennants will help, but Id doubt it.

Absolutely not. The Hall of Fame is reserved for DOMINANT players. Hunter has arguably never been dominant, and if he has, not nearly long enough.

Very good ball player but not even close to having the kind of numbers it would take for the Hall of Fame. Don't believe he will ever get there.

Torii Hunter is not quite there. he needs slightly better offensive numbers than he has, no player can make it alone on defense, no matter how good they are.

I see Torii Hunter as being one of those players who will be on the ballot every year and he'll be overlooked every year. His defense is terrific, but hit numbers don't jump out at you like rest of his steroid era peers. I think he will eventually be voted in by the veterans way down the road.

Not at this stage of his career. However, should he put up some heavy-type Ruthian numbers the next 10 or 12 years, maybe.
