I got this crab from the ocean. It's the type you can eat. I got the bucket and put some warm water. Then, i think it peed this yellow stuff. Then, when I went to check it out again, it had even more yellow stuff ! I'm scared that this is a poison or something. I need it ASAP !!

Keeping a saltwater animal is more than just adding salt to water. Marine crabs need to have the proper concentration of salt in the water - too much or too little will kill them. Unless you've got a hydrometer and can mix the salt and water to a specific gravity of 1.024-1.026, it probably won't live. You also need to use a dechlorinator to remove chlorine/chloramine from tapwater, or these will kill the crab.
Animals taken from their environment without proper knowledge of how to care for them seldom survive.

Is it a hermit crab? I have a hermit crab and he stays in his shell and wont come out until I leave the room. You need to set up a cozy environment for your crab. Get sand from the beach and give it crab food. Also make water available. Remember its a crab they like to be alone... Let it do its own thing.

I really don't think those kind of crabs are good pets. I think you should let him go. They are more complicated than species you buy in pet stores. Just let it go.

put it back where you found him! its illegal to take wildlife, even crabs, from anywhere without a permit!! he will not survive in the conditions youre keeping him in, even witht he perfect conditions he will get stressed out cause he is not where he should be!
