I have some cords and the zip is always going down its rather annoying can I make it stiffer so i dont have to keep pulling it up. They are my uniform

Yes, get hold of some long nose pliers and gently bend down the zip guides on the inside of the zip, you know, the bit that moves. Not too hard, or it will jamb up! Have a good day.

The best answer is to get a new zip put in, but failing this, and of course only if the zip is covered with another part of your uniform, put a safety pin accross so that the zip cannot slide down. Would strongly recommend a nappy pin though so that it does not come undone. Can recommend this as I have to do this with my uniform trousers. My trouble though is extra weight, and I am tackling this at the gym and on my bike rather than ask for larger trousers!

It is not the zipper that is the problem but the zippers lock mechanism which is probably either worn out or inferior to begin with.
To solve the problem of a self opening zipper, change the zipper with a better quality brand.
