Updating your windows daily with what data??, Critical updates only come out from Microsoft every second Tuesday of the month. If you have antispyware installed the majority of them are automatic updates. A few free ones are automatic and the rest are manual updates if free.

If you don't have an antivirus program and want a free one here is an excellent free antivirus from AOL, Active Virus Shield powered by Kaspersky of Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. AOL will ask you for your email so they can send you a free key good for one year. After one year just request a new key.

Yes you will always need a antivirus to protect your computer. Performing the Windows Updates does not stop the virus attacks at all. If you need help with antivirus you can always use the free ones such as avast and avg. I have never had any problems with either one of these programs yet and have blocked all of the virus attacks on my computer.

Windows updates do repair any potential or reported vulnerabilities that Windows have, but they do not include a virus cleaner and protection software.

So, YES, you would still need to use an antivirus to ensure that your system is virus free.

Yes, yes and yes!!! Updating Windows does in no way prevent or find viruses! Please use one, if you don't want to buy one you can get a free one called AVG. Search the net for it.
