I don't really have just one favourite band, I tend to listen to a wide variety of music. At my funeral, which I hope won't be for a very long time yet, I like the song Angel by Sarah Mclachlan.

I've already told my nieces and nephews that everyone is to wear bright clothes, there are to be balloons tied to the pews in the church/crem and for music I want Napoleon XIV's They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Ha.

I like Queen and my favourite Queen song is Don't Stop Me Now (so wonderfully, unashamedly bisexual).

Maybe Donny Osmond's Puppy Love or The Proud One (I know now that Donny didn't sing this one but I thought he did and I spent hours screaming to it when I was a bairn. I'd put the stabiliser thingy back and just let it play and play and play. You kids don't know what you missed, pressing 'repeat' on a CD player isn't as deliciously tactile as putting the thingy back, watch the record finish, the arm came up, back, pause, back along, down and then it started again.

There were about thirty seconds of those soft mechanical noises which let everyone else in the house know they were going to hear it again.)

Any party song would be good. I want the 'mourners' be be thoroughly unnerved. I have a reputation of being weird to uphold.

One idea I've been playing around with lately is that in the middle of the most solemn part of the service, having a manic baboon screaming through the speakers.

You see, that wouldn't be surprising if I was a goth, biker chick etc but I'm not, I appear to be the most conservative (small 'c'), prissy ... lady you could hope to meet. So it's delicious when I do something to shock someone for the first time.

I have to wrack my brains to figure out new things to surprise my family with, they've known me too long but it's too easy to shock people I've just met.
