could the earths magnetic field be subject to damage from the continual use of energy. with a growing electonic age we are increasing more higher powered demands and ever increasing promulgation of energy. these are occurring in centralised areas around the globe. Can this create "un-natural deviation"? Could this leave us exposed to extreme solar activity? one solar storm could destroy us all...

hi Ant, The source of earth's electromagnetic field is the rotating ocean of liquid iron at earth's outer middle. The movements of mankind are insignificant to this overwhelmingly efficient geological tension. All of our movements are as no longer something while in comparison with the tension of this revolving ocean. And no longer something we do alters it interior the least.

Humans are not going to effect the magnetic field of the Earth -- ever.

The change or flip predicted will likely not leave us unprotected.

The magnetic firld is an artifact of the earth. We are not powerful enough to change it.
