No, he's not running out of gas. His slow start is not unusual. Just wait till he gets on fire, and then pitchers will rarely get him out. He is one of the truly great hitters in the game today. Stick with him, and he will come through.

He like all payers have high and lows, his batting average is still up there, the only problem I see with him is he doesn't run right after hitting the ball and waits to see if it's a homer or what ever, that can mean the difffernece between a single or a double.

yes,getting older and fatter will do that.He is aful chubby for 5-11" and 32 years old.Still a hall of famer though

this happens every year. he always slumps in the start, but he does so well at the end that we forget about it. Give him another month and he will heat up.
