The London Blitz was a horrible ordeal but the citizens of London reacted with bravery and that was a positive, to endure bombing and improve morale at the same time is a remarkable achievement. Another positive was that by diverting bombers from military targets in order to punnish London helped to save the RAF, many airfields and facilities were given a needed 'breather' and the RAF was able to regroup & refurbish its forces for the final anihilation of the German air force.

On a negative note many old historic buildings were destroyed, people's daily lives placed in peril, hundreds ultimately thousands were killed.

Peace...

This isn't a full answer, but the best 2 things were that Germany gave up. Honestly, if they had kept pelting Britain for another week or so, they would have won for sure (which would really change history!). The second good thing was that it made Germany realize that it was defeatable, which knocked it down a few notches. Up until now, it had gotten its way pretty much everywhere else.

Positive - greater community spirit and determination to defeat the Germans.
Negative - thousands of civilian deaths and the destruction of peoples's homes.
