What is the name/model of you machine? That will affect all the answers of these questions. You should have an instruction book for your machine and it will tell you everything you need to know. I have six machines and not one of these is a simple true/falso statement.

The first is true on all front to back machines, but not the ones that thread to the side.
The second, my hand wheels turn towards the front/machine operators.
Third, tension release has nothing to do with the bobbin, but it does affect loopers on sergers.
Fourth only applies to whatever model have a regulator with the number three on.
Fifth statrement is also model specific. My electronic has a small button that I press once for reverse, twice to go back to forward.
Stitch length is wholly dependent on the fabric being sewn and the purpose of the stitch. It can't be generalized.
Seventh: take up lever is irrelevant to changing a bobbin however the needle should be clear of the bobbin area.
Needle position is relevant to zippers, but you need to check your manual for the position. If I change the needle position while using the zipper foot, I could break the machine.
Pattern selector number is specific to certain makes and models. My electroninc has 10 as straight stitch, and my singer has 3.

You should look for an instruction book specific to your make of machine and model.

front to back or inside to outside, never back to front.
usually the wheel is turned away from you, according to the type of machine.
you dissengage the needle most often by turning the center of the wheel backwards on older machines, my machine doesnt require the wheel to be dissengaged at all though.
the stitch regulator can be on any size you want it, but 3 is a good medium size stitch. these answers are for a specific machine and its hard to answer a pat answer for all of it, we arent a kid messing with adults getting them to answer your school questions, why didnt you pay attention. on my machine the straight stitch is on position2, i dont know about your machine. geeze, if you leave the presser foot lever down when putting in the bobbin you will break the tip off the needle. wake up boy

a. NO! Front to back.
b. The handwheel directions are toward and away. Turn the handwheel in whatever direction you want the feed dogs to move the fabric. Try not to tangle the thread.
c.Does this mean the clutch wheel? If so, yes.
d. I use 2.
e.One has nothing to do with the other.
f. Use 2.
g. Use the position that lines everything up for easy placement of the booin case into the hook race.
h. You change the position accordning to where you need the seam to fall.
i. This depends on your machine. Some don't even have it. Refer to your manual.

First get the owner's manual out and read it.
Next, re ask these questions if you cannot find it in your owner's manual, as these questions cannot not be generically answered.
