When I was pregnant my doctor told me to stick with 2 percent fat milk...Full fat has too many extra fat grams and calories and 2 percent has way less but it still has all the nutrients you need

Are you talking about fresh unpasturized milk?

I would at least invest in a pasturizer just to be safe....... Brucellosis is the main thing you want to avoid during your pregnancy. While the majority of dairy animals have been vaccinated for Brucellosis, there is always that off chance you got a hold of an unvaccinated animal....

Otherwise fresh milk shouldn't be a problem unless you start to gain too much weight, then you might want skim most of the butterfat off.
