hi im 39 weeks pregnant today and i have woke up this morning with a smaller belly then yesterday and woundered does anyone no what this is all about is this a sign that labours on its way ??

It could be that the baby has dropped and is in the birthing position.Yes labor is probably going to start soon.

If you have been experiencing any tightness across your stomach or your back is bothering you it may be the start of labour. That may make you feel like your stomach is smaller. If you are having problems like not being able to control your urine that could also be a sign. Stay hydrated but do not eat a lot this morning and call your doctor.

Sounds like your baby is getting his/her bags packed and getting into birthing position. This is completely normal. It is called descending. Birth cannot be to far away especially considering you are 39 weeks. congrats.

Sounds to me like your baby has dropped down in preparation for birth. But don't stress, it could be a week away, but then again, could be tomorrow. Good luck!

It appears that way most of the time when the baby drops. It doesnt mean you will go into labor right away though.

when you go to bed at nite the baby settles and buy the time you wake up your belly seems flatter.this is common.if it stays that way its because the baby is in position to prepare for birth.if its a girl you might consider calling her eden. rose ---------good luck and a short and painless delivery
