When you're trying to remember a name of someone or something... it is always on the very tip of your tongue, but you still cannot say the name...arrggh! so frustrating....why does that happen?

Oh my gosh, i so know what you mean, i really hate when that happens lol, it makes me so frustrated, i cant think of anything else until i´ve figured out or remembered what i was trying to remember lol. And im sorry, my friend, i really wish i knew why that happened, but i honestly have no idea...it just seems like sometimes our minds are sending us a message to chill out or something because the harder we try to think of something....the harder it becomes to remember...and then sometimes, at a moment when we´re completely relaxed and not thinking about anything much at all...it´ll just come to us...memory is really strange that way. :)

Most of the time you almost say the name and something stalls you and by then your mind is beyond that point and it is difficult to go back to it.

You want to say the name but have to wait for the other to stop talking or when you are ready to say it another says something to alter your mind set.

For most of us the mind is trying to stay ahead of what is, so it can be ready and so many times if the cahin of thought is interupted or altered this and other strange things happen.

Want to tell someone something and when you get the chance you cn't think of what it was.

Well, may be you didn't pay as much attention as you should when you were trying to SAVE the name in you mind!!
I mean your brain was busy with something else!
In order to do it right, you can make a relation between the thing you wanna remember and a thing you already knew!

Too much pressure to try and remember.

Just smile and say "Hey You! Its been a while!" and wait for the old brain to kick back into gear!

(And listen! If they are with someone else maybe they will say their name first and you can pretend like you knew it all along OBVIOUSLY!)

That's because nowadays our food contains allot of chemicals and preservatives, and the reason behind this that the mind is slower than the tong and when your tong is trying to release the name your mind which is full of chemicals is already trying to catch up with your tong.

Some psychologists reckon it's an over-thinking of sorts that makes you forget it. Like that shoe you cannot find just when you need it. Same thing. Stop thinking about it and looking for it and it'll appear. Voila!

Oh, thank goodness. I thought that it was only because I'm getting older. but a cure for it is to start reciting the alphabet in your head. the name will come to you.
