Not sure why you buy an Ultra ATA HDD as these are slower than the SATA drives. But the short answer is yes, the board will support Ultra ATA drives. You can connect up to 4 IDE devices (ie CDROM/DVD/PATA(ULTRA ATA)) drives to this board along with SATA and 1 floppy drive. Hope this helps
